    Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Civil/Solid Waste Engineer for our Roseville, Sunnyvale, or Walnut Creek offices. This individual will participate in civil and environmental engineering projects that involve waste management facility design and permitting, stormwater management, operations planning, construction quality assurance. The position requires periodic travel and fieldwork as dictated by project demands in California.


    Your primary responsibilties will include:

    • Managing and directing design teams
    • Managing projects
    • Preparing engineering design reports
    • Managing and directing construction quality assurance programs
    • Pursuing and securing new project opportunities
    • Preparing proposals
    • Mentoring junior staff


    Job Requirements

    The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

    • Minimum Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering with valid California PE registration
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in the practice of civil engineering design
    • Experience in any of the following areas of practice; design and construction quality assurance for solid waste containment systems, preparing permitting documents for solid waste facilities, preparing fill sequence and master plans for landfill facilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
    • Ability to work both independently and within groups
    • Excellent work history with leadership abilities and a positive attitude
    • Candidate must be eligible for employment status in U.S., possess a valid U.S. driver's license, present a professional work appearance, interact well with the public and clients, have excellent teamwork skills, and pass pre-employment screening including a drug screen, criminal and driving record background check
