    Overview

The Global Mobility Specialist will partner with our People & Talent and Talent Acquisition teams to support our strategy in retaining and hiring top talent. This role will be responsible for managing the assignment lifecycle, assisting both leaders and employees. A fundamental initial delivery requirement for the role will be establishing best practice global mobility policies, processes and tools that support Golder’s talent strategy.

Whilst global mobility will be the core focus of this role, it is important that this role can holistically support our People & Talent team. Thus, we are searching for a practitioner with skills and expertise broader than a global mobility specialism.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Establish, update and maintain best practice global mobility policies, processes and tools that support Golder’s talent strategy.
    • Coordinate assignments, from initial enquiry to assignment conclusion. Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including leaders, assignees and supporting functions (tax, legal finance etc). Take ownership of all assignment related data and information.
    • Develop assignment compensation and relocation packages for potential and actual assignees, as well as cost projections and balance sheet calculations for the business. Ensure key stakeholders can make informed decisions around the total cost of global mobility.
    • Serve as the primary contact for the business on immigration matters, obtaining, maintaining and monitoring visa and work permit status, including expiration dates.
    • Work with Golder’s tax team to manage taxation issues, including ensuring the implementation of measures that prevent triggering a Permanent Establishment (PE) for home entities in the host locations.
    • Work closely with third party vendors, such as tax consultants, immigration lawyers and relocation vendors to ensure timely, quality services are provided within agreed service levels and cost expectations.
