  • Job Responsibilities

     

    Primary responsibilities will include:

    • Collection of various media (groundwater, surface water, soil, air, etc.)
    • Coordination of analytical laboratory procurement
    • Evaluation of chemistry analytical data in accordance with Regional and USEPA data validation guidelines
    • Preparation of data validation narratives, data usability reports, and QAPPs
    • Management and reporting of environmental data through several database platforms
    • Perform data compilation, report writing and other related duties to support a project team

     

    Job Requirements

     

    The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

    • B.S. Chemistry / Environmental Science / Geology; M.S. preferred
    • 0-3 years of experience in environmental consulting or laboratory analytical chemistry
    • Knowledge of / Experience in organic and inorganic chemical analyses
    • A detail-oriented personality and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
    • A team player with good communication, analytical, and organization, skills; technical writing experience is preferred
    • Interest in developing environmental consulting experience in remediation and/or analytical chemistry data interpretation
    • Ability to operate and maintain field testing and monitoring equipment
    • Strong data manipulation and/or database skills, including Excel; the ideal candidate may also have some experience with other data tools (e.g. Access, EQuIS, SQL, LIMs)
    • Performance of work in inclement weather conditions following OSHA requirements
    • Ability to lift and transport a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis during field work
    • Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license, be able to drive a company vehicle, willingness and exhibit a willingness to travel for field work as dictated by project demands which could be upwards of 60% of the time and periodically adjust personal schedules to meet project needs
